This style of the semi modern Tibetan carpet design is fundamentally based on the traditional Tibetan design seen through centuries. Which is the native Tibetan art and aesthetic intermingled with Tibet’s geographical and cultural neighbors, India, China, Nepal, Mongolia, Xinxiang etc. The amalgam upon which the Tibetan style was formed. This unique form is further reinterpreted and reenacted by Pema Karpoche, both by recomposing the old designs and innovating diverse color-ways to suit and serve myriad cultural dispositions, design affiliations and style gratifications.
